Newly-promoted KIMA Aswan and Fayoum were unable to score on Tuesday afternoon, although both teams need badly to win: KIMA Aswan to get as far as possible from the relegation line, and Fayoum to get to the upper half of the table. Fayoum players and staff even used an Egyptair flight to reach Aswan, therefore reducing the travel time and the associated tiredness.
The match was rather dull, as there were few goal opportunities, and the two teams engaged mostly in a physical battle in the middle of the pitch. Long balls were used to launch the strikers, but the two defenses were well prepared and none of the teams was able to create any break through the line of defenders. Goalkeepers were rarely tested but anyway they showed confidence and gathered all the balls.
The final score, 0-0, seemed to be accepted by everyone on the pitch as a logical conclusion of a well-fought game.

Fayoum had slightly more ball possession and goal chances than their opponents, but they had to be content with a draw, which is the fifth consecutive match without a win.

The 12th round, initially scheduled for Saturday, the 6th of February, was eventually postponed for Tuesday, the 9th of February, because of the Egypt Cup matches played during the week-end. In the other matches of the round, there were many draws, only Qena and Dayrout won. In the next round, Fayoum will face Asyut Petroleum at home, while KIMA will play awat at Media.
