On Thursday, 21 February, Fayoum played at "home", at Alassiouty Sports Complex, a difficult game against one of the strong teams in Group A, fourth classified Al Minya, in the 19th round of the Egyptian Second Division.
The match had several moments when tension was very high but things calmed down eventually. The visitors scored first by Mohamed Soma in the 36th minute and led 1-0 at half time.
In the second half, Fayoum played better and attacked constantly, so Ziuaddin Bulbul was able to equalize in the 50th minute.
However, despite numerous chances to score a winning goal especially by the home side, the result remained 1-1, a draw which does not help too much any of the teams. It is the third consecutive draw for Fayoum, which remains in the relegation area. Al Minya, on the other hand, are farther away from promotion to Premier League.
