The first home win for 1. FK Svidnik this season, 2-0 over TJ FK Vel'ke Revistia

Sunday, the 25th of August 2019, 16:00 local time (14:00 UTC), Mestsky futbalovy stadium, Svidnik, Slovakia, the sixth round of the Slovak 3. Liga - East.
It was about time for 1. FK Svidnik to finally win a match in front of their own supporters. They started well the competition, with a 0-0 draw at Spisska Nova Ves and a surprising 2-1 win at MFK Snina, on the road. However, they failed to secure a win at home, drawing 1-1 against Plavnica and losing the most important local derby, 2-1 to Tesla Stropkov. To this, one should add the unexpected loss away to Giraltovce.
So, the tension was rising and a good result was needed for the team. TJ FK Vel'ke Revistia did not lose the last two matches at Svidnik, but this time they were eventually defeated.
1. FK Svidnik controlled most of the game and had some goal-scoring opportunities. However, the two goals came rather late, in the last 20 minutes. The very young (18 years old) Russian newcomer Viktor Veprik came in as a substitute and immediately scored, giving the home side the lead with a header after a cross by Juraj Kuhajdik from a free kick on the right: 1-0 (71'). Juraj Kuhajdik was also at the origin of the second goal, as he surprisingly executed a free kick from the center, perfectly assisting Michal Tokar, who increased the lead with a shot from inside the box a few minutes later: 2-0 (78').
