Tahta - Fayoum 0-0 in the fourth round of the Egyptian Second Division - Group A

Sunday, the 10th of November 2019, 15:30 local time (13:30 UTC), Tahta Stadium, Tahta, Egypt, the fourth round of the Egyptian Second Division, Group A.

Fayoum SC obtained the first point away this season, 0-0 at Tahta, a team which did not win any match so far in the first four rounds. Fayoum came after a disappointing loss at home, 1-0 to the National Bank of Egypt, the leaders of the group after the results of the fourth round.

Tahta is managed by Barakat Ibrahim, the former Fayoum head coach in the first part of the previous season. They made a good game in terms of possession, attacked more, especially in the second half, but did not succeed to break the well-organized Fayoum defense. The tactics used my Mohamed Mohsen Abo Gresha, the present manager of Fayoum, was quite obvious: not to concede a single goal, and to launch fast counterattacks. If the defensive part was a success, and Fayoum had a real strong defense, the attack was once again the weak part, as none of the counterattacks finalized with a goal.

Still, the result is rather good for Fayoum, in front of a team which also competes to avoid the relegation area.
