Slávia TU Košice - 1. FK Svidník 8-1 in the third matchday of the Slovak Third League - East Group

Sunday, 8 August 2021, 10:30 am local time (8:30 am UTC), TU Watsonova Stadium, Košice, third matchday of the Slovak Third League - East Group (3. Liga - Východ).

1. FK Svidník continue their negative run of thrashing defeats, this time losing (again) 8-1 away at Slávia TU Košice. The same 8-1 loss which they suffered just a few days ago, at home, when they faced 1. FC Tatran Prešov. It's quite a performance to lose 8-1 twice in a row, as it is an unusual result in football. But nothing is impossible for the young Svidník team.

The match started perfectly for the hosts, which scored right at the beginning, by L'ubomír Ivanko Macej: 1-0 (1'). In just a few minutes, the score raised to 5-0, as Michal Vysočan (3') and Mojmír Trebuňák (5', 8' and 13' - hat-trick) increased the advantage for Slávia TU.

Then, the host team was less interested to score and probably less concentrated, while the visitors succeeded to organize themselves better in the defense. The only goal for 1. FK Svidník came right before the break, by Vladislav Haňak: 5-1 (42').

In the second half, Slávia TU Košice scored another three goals, by means of Martin Bodnár (72'), Maroš Miškovič (76') and Dominik Novotný (79'), for the final 8-1.

Slávia TU: Hudák - Urban, M. Gere, Korijkov (Baran 46'), Borok, P. Gere, Miškovič, Trebuňák (Vilčko 73'), Ivanko Macej (Bodnár 46'), Vysočan (Čabra 57'), Človečko (Novotný 57'). Manager: Roland Móder.

1. FK Svidník: Dzupina - Košč (Janek 79'), Blanár, Makara, Guman, Shliakhov, Wszola, Paňko (M. Kamenický 73'), Čabala (Daňo 57'), Oravec, Haňak. Manager: Alexander Tyč.

Referee: Denis Havira.

There were no cards.

In the next matchday, on Sunday afternoon, 1. FK Svidník will face MFK Vranov at home. It is another difficult opponent, so there is not much hope for a better result; but at least the scoresheet might look at the end like one provided for a football match and not for other sports.
