On Sunday, 24 March 2019, Bourj FC played at home, at Bhamdoun Stadium, against third-classified Ahly Sidon. A draw was enough to ensure promotion, but Bourj FC did their best and won 1-0. The only goal was scored in the 21st minute by Yannis Bessaa after a great run and decisive assist by Papy Thandoum.
With two rounds to go, Bourj FC have 4 points above second-classified Shabab El Bourj and 10 points above Ahly Sidon, so they have secured promotion because mathematically they cannot lose the second place.

Bourj FC fans celebrated the return to the top flight on the stadium and afterwards, until late night. It was a long wait: Bourj played last time in the Lebanese Premier League 16 years ago. They were relegated at the end of 2002-2003 season. During the 1990s and the 2000s, their best performance was the Lebanese Cup in 1993 and the third place achieved in 1995-1996 season.
There are still two games to be played and the title of Second Division champions is yet in play, but all thoughts are now focused on the next season, to the Premier League.
