Parva Atomna Kozloduy won 2-0 over OFK Tryavna in the Bulgarian Third League

Sunday, 16 May 2021, 6 pm local time (3 pm UTC), Hristo Botev Stadium, Kozloduy, Bulgaria, the 31st round of the Bulgarian Third League, North-West Group (Severozapadna Treta Liga).

The 14th consecutive defeat for OFK Tryavna came away at Parva Atomna Kozloduy. The hosts were in need of points, as they are not yet completely out of danger in terms of relegation, while OFK Tryavna are already relegated, and play only for honor.

The match was dominated by Parva Atomna Kozloduy, but the visitors resisted for quite a long time. Both goals were scored towards the end of the two halves: the first by Milchev in the 41st minute, and the second by Kamenov in the 89th minute. A 2-0 win for Parva Atomna Kozloduy which gave the hosts some fresh air in their fight to avoid relegation, while the visitors may be happy for playing better than some other times.

In the other matches of the round, one notices that Levski 2020 Lom won 1-0 over FK Sevlievo and are mathematically promoted to the Second League with three rounds to go, as they are 15 points above the second classified, Vihar Slavyanovo, which lost.

In the lower part of the table, the battle to avoid the second relegation spot (the first being already ”won” by OFK Tryavna) seems to reach its momentum. Bdin Vidin, Etar 2 Veliko Tarnovo and Peshtera Galata are the three teams which are still in a fragile position, and their next results will be very important. In the next round, Bdin Vidin will face Peshtera Galata at home, while Etar 2 will play against the leaders, Levski 2020 Lom, which have not lost a game so far this season. OFK Tryavna will play at home against OFK Levski 2007, which are also among those which are not saved yet. All these matches are scheduled mid-week, in just three days from now.
