Another defeat for Tryavna: 2-0 at home in front of OFK Levski, which escaped relegation

Wednesday, 19 May 2021, 6 pm local time (3 pm UTC), Angel Kanchev Stadium, Tryavna, Bulgaria, 32nd round of the Bulgarian Third League - North-West Group (Severozapadna Treta Liga).

OFK Tryavna lost all matches so far in the spring season, and there is no surprise that they lost again, for the 15th time in a row. It is also true that their opponents really needed the points to make sure they stay out of trouble for the remaining two rounds.

OFK Levski was the better team overall and they took the lead in the middle of the first half, when Ventsislav Milenov scored, assisted by Kristian Ivanov: 0-1 (23'). Despite many other chances (especially by Evgeni Sistov and Tsvetoslav Ignatov), the visitors were unable to score again for a long time, and they had some issues when Tryavna also tried to attack and to equalize.

The suspense was preserved nearly to the end of the match, when Blagovest Lenkov managed to break individually on the right side of the pitch and finalized with a beautiful shot: 0-2 (82').

Tryavna: Miroslav Kirov (cpt.) - Radoslav Kosev, Vesko Karakolev, Tsanko Slavov, Hussein Veisov, Aleksandar Damyanov, Ivelin Georgiev, Martin Shirtev, Denis Dachev (Valentin Atanasaov 78'), Tomislav Kolev, Stanislav Atanasov.

OFK Levski: Vasil Todorov - Blagovest Lenkov (Antonio Ivandjikov 84'), Ventsislav Milenov (Djanko Tanev 48'), Veselin Mitev, Evgeni Sistov (Trayan Dimitrov 77'), Ivaylo Radentsov (cpt.), Tsvetoslav Ignatov, Tsvetomir Dimitrov, Teodor Mikhailov, Kristian Ivanov, Viktor Ivanov.

Referee: Milan Vazharski.

Yellow card: Blagovest Lenkov (30').

The second to last round, the 33rd, will take place this week-end, on 22 and 23 May. On Sunday, 23 May, OFK Tryavna will play again at home against Bdin 1923 Vidin, a team which succeeded for the first time since the beginning of the season to get above the relegation line, and will surely come to get all the points and to maintain their chances of survival. They might be an example for Tryavna, as they had less points at half season, but were capable of recovering the gap and to escape relegation, while Tryavna lost all matches. The situation became tricky for Etar 2 Veliko Tarnovo and Peshtera Galata in the relegation area.
