After a severe defeat and a goalless draw, Bourj FC needed badly a good result, and they played the best they could against Tadamon Sour to get all the points, which they eventually succeeded, not as easily as it seems at first sight. The visitors had a good reply and, at times, seemed in control of the game.

Bourj FC did not score in the first two games of the season, but did so within the first minute of this game. Haidar Khreiss had a good action on the left side, crossed in the box, and Ahmad Hijazi headed in from the far post: 1-0 (1'). The game actually started at 1-0. In the next minutes, Ahmad Hijazi had a chance to make it 2-0, but goalkeeper Mohamed Bechara denied it.

Nevertheless, the visitors soon started to build up dangerous offensive actions, especially on the right side, where Gildo Vilanculos created chaos in Bourj defense. The equalizer came, however, from the other side: Hassan Bazzi had a good run, crossed in the box, slightly backwards, Abodulaye Fall missed the ball, and Gildo Vilanculos was there to convert: 1-1 (26').

Just a few minutes later, Tadamon Sour was very close to take the lead, but Pedrinho's header from short range went wide (31'). Bourj FC tried to come back into the game, and launched new attacks. Sajed Amhaz passed from the right side to Ahmad Hijazi in the box, but Bilal Najdi tried to impede this, tackling Ahmad Hijazi in the process (37'). It took VAR a couple of minutes to assess the action and to finally agree with the referee that this was a penalty. Haidar Khreiss converted and brought Bourj FC in the lead once again: 2-1 (40').

In the second half, Tadamon Sour tried again to equalize, but paradoxically their actions were not as dangerous as in the first half. Bourj FC showed determination and maintained their physical vigor intact throughout the second half, careful not to lose control again. Gildo Vilanculos, Tadamon's best player in the first half, slowly faded away, while Bourj FC pushed the game towards the opponents' box. After a corner, Haidar Khreiss crossed and Hassan Hazimeh headed at the far post, the ball hitting the woodwork before getting in: 3-1 (70').

The match was pretty much over ar this score, especially because Tadamon Sour seemed unable to create any sort of threat. In stoppage time, sub Daniel Abou Fakher's shot hit the crossbar (90'+3'), not long before the final whistle which triggered the celebration of Bourj FC players and staff, after their first win this season, which moved them up in the table to a much desired sixth place.
