Bourj FC wins 1-0 against Shabab El Bourj and remains the sole leader of the Lebanese Second Division

Bourj FC obtained the third consecutive win on Sunday, 28 October, but the first one at home after more than a month, 1-0 in the derby against rivals Shabab El Bourj. The game was played at Bhamdoun Stadium in Aley in front of an amazing audience of 3000, most of them supporters of Bourj FC.

The match was quite balanced and the only goal was scored by the former Palestinian international Wassem Abdelhady in the 75th minute, from inside the area, after a corner, with an accurate back-shot which took by surprise the goalkeeper.

Bourj FC: Abdul Karim Saleh - Ali Hareb, Hisham Shahimi, Bilal Nasrallah, Ali Jawad - Hussein Ibrahim Al Saouk, Papys Babacar - Ali Fakih, Samih Damaj (81 Mustafa Hassan), Hassan Mallah - Wassem Abdelhady (85 Hassan Hammoud).

Fayoum - Dayrout 4-1 in the 8th round of the Egyptian Second Division

Fayoum obtained a second win this season on Thursday, 25 October, at home against Dayrout. It is the second positive result in a row, after a 1-1 draw away at Al Nasr Lel Taa'den a week ago.

The game was actually played at Alassiouty Sports Complex in Asyut because Fayoum Stadium is not ready yet to host official matches.

Fayoum had an excellent first half having 4-0 at half time, due to goals scored by Ahmed Shebab Shafiq (twice, in the 8th minute and in the 36th minute), Ahmed Abdel Baqi (in the 28th minute) and Mahmoud Arafat (in the 45th minute).

In the second half, Dayrout succeeded only in scoring one goal, by Hazem Mohammed in the 56th minute.

The team managed by Barakat Ibrahim won therefore 4-1 and reached the 8th place in the classification after 8 rounds. Good results are still needed for the team to be in the upper part of the table. The next week, Fayoum will play away at Markaz Shabab Naser Mallawi, last classified.
