Fayoum starts well in 2019 by defeating Al Walideya 4-0

In the 15th round of the Egyptian Second Division, Group A, Fayoum SC had an easier game at home against Al Walideya, one of the weakest sides in this group. The match was scheduled on Thursday afternoon, the 17th of January.

Fayoum desperately needed a good result after a series of losses, so they started the game very well, scoring very early, in the 2nd minute, by Ahmed Abdel Baki: 1-0. Before the end of the first half, Mohamed Refaat extended the lead to 2-0 in the 40th minute.

After the break, the match followed the same pattern, so there were two more goals for Fayoum, scored by Ibrahim Saeed in the 66th minute and Mahmoud Bakri in the 79th minute.

For Magdy Tolba, this is the first win as head coach of Fayoum. However, this is only the third success throughout the whole season for Fayoum SC, so they need many other wins to avoid relegation.

In the other games of the round, one notices the 1-0 win of Aswan at home against Beni Suef, a result which changed the leader and might be decisive for the promotion to the Premier League. This was the first defeat of Beni Suef this year, while Aswan remain undefeated.
