Fayoum succeeded to get one point away at Media, third classified and one of the strong teams in Group A. Media started better and the referee gave an early penalty for the hosts, which was transformed by Islam Kamal: 1-0 (4').
After the goal, Fayoum tried hard to come back in the game and missed several clear goal opportunities, both in the first and in the second half. Eventually, Karim Al Shafei's cross from the left side was headed in by Mahmoud Kamal "Schmeichel", with some sort of unwanted help from a defender: 1-1 (84').

In the final minutes, both teams looked after the winning goal, but the match ended with a draw.
