Fayoum SC started the preparations for the new season with a new manager, Ramadan Ragab

Fayoum SC finished in sixth position (out of 16 teams) the 2020-2021 season of the Egyptian Second Division, Group A. For the last 9 games of the season, the team was managed by Saad Farouk, who succeeded a positive run of 8 games without defeat, and the only loss was registered in the last round, when Telephonat Beni Suef had to win to remain in the Second Division, and Fayoum lost 1-0.

Saad Farouk was the most successful manager for Fayoum SC in recent history. It would have been great to keep him at the club, but this proved to be impossible, and he left in July 2021 for Suez.

The club management started immediately to search for a replacement. Initially, Yasser Al-Kinani was announced as the new manager, at the beginning of August. However, just a few days afterwards, the deal was probably not concluded, and Ramadan Ragab was announced as the new manager.

In the second half of August, Ramadan Ragab started the training sessions with the remaining players.

Several new players have come, while others went to other teams. Islam Sayed, Hisham Hamadeh and Mohamed Shabaan were all transferred to Fayoum SC. Among those who left is Anas Muhammad "Shendy", one of the best players during the 2020-2021 season, a great striker, who signed for Petrojet.

It is interesting to note that the team changed the kits again, using black shirts and white shorts and socks, compared to mostly red and / or green in previous years. The kit provider is Nike, moving away from Kelme.

A number of friendly matches have been scheduled. The composition of the Second Division groups for the 2021-2022 season has been recently announced by the Egyptian FA, and there are no surprises. Fayoum SC will be of course in Group A, which includes the teams from Upper Egypt, mostly, and one team from Giza (Media). 11 teams are the same as last season, Aswan SC has been relegated from the Premier League, and 4 new teams have been promoted from the Third Division: Tamiya, Mallawi, Badari and Medina.
