Argentinian Carlos Ramacciotti is the new head coach of Cusco FC

Cusco FC started badly the 2020 season, as they lost four out of five matches in the Peurvian Liga 1 and they were kicked out of the Copa Sudamericana right in the first stage after an unexpected 3-0 defeat to Chilean side Audax Italiano.
This negative run was eventually fatal to head coach Javier Arce, who left the Cusco club by ”mutual agreement”. He came to Cusco FC (then Real Garcilaso) in September 2019, and was unofficially the head coach until the end of 2019. He could not have this position officially because Peruvian regulations did not allow a coach to train two different teams during the same season, and Javier Arce was the head coach of Binacional from January to August 2019. In January 2020 he finally had the position of head coach to the renamed Cusco FC.
Immediately after Cusco FC announced the departure of Javier Arce, the name of the new head coach has already been rumoured to be Carlos Ramacciotti. The Argentinian head coach was in the meantime confirmed, and arrived in Cusco, ready to start working.

Carlos Ramacciotti has a lot of experience, as he was head coach of many Argentinian and Peruvian teams. He last trained Sport Huancayo in 2019, finishing fifth overall in the Peruvian league and reaching the final of Copa Bicentenario, lost to Atlético Grau after penalties.
His mission at Cusco FC will be a difficult one, especially because of the poor roster the club has at the moment. He will mainly have to solve the defensive problems which were quite obvious during this season, so far. Another issue is the use of young players, which is compulsory, but who were seldom used by Javier Arce, leaving more pressure on the new head coach, as these players need to play a certain amount of minutes during the whole season. This is not going to be easy to solve, because Cusco FC has few such players and their level is far below the requirements.
The first official game for Cusco FC under Carlos Ramacciotti will be Saturday, the 7th of March 2020, against Universidad César Vallejo. The match will kick off at 3 pm (local time) and will be played for the first time this season at Túpac Amaru Stadium in Sicuani.
