Fifth consecutive draw for Fayoum, Maghagha out of the bottom

Bottom classified and newly-promoted M.S. Maghagha changed their manager right before the match against Fayoum, and the new manager, Abdullah Nasheet, had an obvious objective: not to lose this game. On the field this has not proved easy, because Fayoum dominated and attacked throughout the entire match, but failed to score, despite many opportunities.

Maghagha resisted heroically up to the end, and even had the chance to score a winning goal on a swift counterattack, in the final minutes, but missed the opportunity. Immediately after, already in stoppage time, Fayoum also had two clear chances, but Maghagha goalkeeper worked miracles and saved his team from defeat.

This is the fifth consecutive draw for Fayoum SC. While they remain undefeated so far in the competition, they are only third and farther away from the top spot. In the next and final round of the first half of the season, Fayoum will not play.

For Maghagha, this point was enough to climb from the bottom position.
