Success slipped away in the last minute: FK Spišská Nová Ves - 1. FK Svidník 1-1 (0-0)

Saturday, the 1st of August 2020, 4.30 pm local time (2.30 pm UTC), Mestský futbalový štadion, Spišská Nová Ves, Slovakia, the 1st round of the Slovak 3. Liga - Východ (East).
After a break of 8 months and a half, as the last official games were played in mid-November 2019, the Slovak 3. Liga resumed with the first round of the 2020-2021 season.
1. FK Svidník started well and got one point away at Spišská Nová Ves, but they were very close to get all the points. The home side dominated most of the match, but they missed several important goal opportunities. On a counterattack, Štefan Košč provided an excellent assist from the left side to Ján Ducár, who scored for the visitors from inside the area: 0-1 (65'). However, after many other goal chances, Spišská Nová Ves succeeded to equalize in stoppage time, by means of L'uboš Ontko, with a beautiful long-range shot: 1-1 (90'+2').
