Družstevník Plavnica looked theoretically like a more accessible opponent for 1. FK Svidník, especially as they played at home and the supporters were waiting for the first win this season. But it was all the opposite, as the visitors looked very strong and succeeded to win rather comfortably, maintaining themselves in a surprising second position in the table.

The visitors took the lead quite early in the game, as Kristián Tináth found the back of the net: 0-1 (12'). The home team struggled hard to equalize, and they even succeeded to get an equalizer, by Ján Ducár, right after the break: 1-1 (49'). However, the visitors took the lead again after just five minutes, by means of Matúš Perháč: 1-2 (54'). Despite all efforts made by the Svidník side to equalize again, Michal Krajňak shattered their hopes by scoring again for the visitors: 1-3 (83').

For 1. FK Svidník, this is a very difficult time. This defeat confirms that Svidník is more likely to be involved in the fight against relegation this season. The roster should be immediately improved, as previously remarked. Manager Róbert Petruš has really very few options, he has to use the same players over and over again, because there are no others, and some of these players are not prepared or are just not good enough for this league. A first step has been made, by bringing the Dutch forward Illias El Ghamarti, but he also needs time to adapt. Several other key positions in the squad need to be covered as quickly as possible. The next game, away at neighbours Slovan Giraltovce, is very important, because it might provide a better image of the team, as the opponent is one of the weakest in this group.
