On Thursday, 14 February 2019, Fayoum SC played away to Tahta in the 18th round of the Egyptian Second Division, Group A. Both teams are fighting to avoid relegation to the Third Division and struggled a lot to score but eventually the match finished 0-0, a result which is not too helpful for any of them.
Under a lot of pressure lately, Osama al-Belm, head coach of Tahta, handed in his resignation after the match.
On the other side, Magdy Tolba, head coach of Fayoum, needs to better prepare the team especially in the attack, as this is the second consecutive goalless game for Fayoum. However, the defense has to be praised for a very good match.
Fayoum will meet Al Minya at home the next Thursday in round 19. It would be a difficult game against one of the strongest teams in the group.
