Ups and downs for 1. FK Svidnik in the Slovakian 3. Liga - East

In the last two week-ends, 1. FK Svidnik played at home and won 1-0 over Slovan Giraltovce on Sunday, 31 March, and lost 2-0 away at third-placed FK Humenne on Saturday, the 6th of April.
After the 4-0 defeat at Bardejovska Nova Ves in the first official match in 2019, the home game against Slovan Giraltovce was very important for the team, to regain trust, and for the new head coach Alojz Lehocky to see his efforts materialized.

The match was highly disputed and both teams had their chances. However, 1. FK Svidnik were to score the only goal in the 65th minute: Ukrainian player Rohulskyi, in central midfield position, found the perfect through pass to left winger Marek Maktobis, who finished from within the box: 1-0.
The home side defended the result thoroughly and eventually won the three points.
Svidnik: Miklus - Ducar, Zapotocky, Nemergut, Horbaj (64 Jacisko) - Rohulskyi - Petrik (54 Losiev), Lipak, Gdul'a (53 Goncharevich), M. Maktobis - S. Kosc. Head coach: Alojz Lehocky.

In the second game, played at Humenne, 1. FK Svidnik started very well but missed a couple of opportunities at the beginning of the match, just like in the first match this spring, away at Bardejovska Nova Ves. The home side managed to score in the 19th minute after a corner from the left side, Dicky heading the ball into the net, unmarked from close range: 1-0.
The game was afterwards dominated by the Humenne team, while the visitors mainly defended and had few chances on the break.
Serecin scored the second goal for Humenne in the 72nd minute and that was pretty much it for Svidnik, which showed weakness in the attack, being unable to give a response.
Humenne: Pillar - Bialoncik, Dicky, Zlacky, Ruskovsky (89 Balog), Janko (89 Matta), Vasil', Komjaty, Voronak, Serecin (81 Dolutovsky), Kokocak (73 Matheus Goncalves). Head coach: Jozef Skrlik.

Next Sunday, 1. FK Svidnik will play at home to FK NOVES Spisska Nova Ves, a difficult game against a former 2. Liga team.
