Ahmed Bakri resigned, Saad Farouk is the new manager of Fayoum SC

Fayoum SC passes through a period of sudden changes, as president Ali Masoud passed away at the end of last week, and many things are probably yet to be solved at the club. Most likely, this unfortunate event postponed for a few days the decision regarding a new manager of the football team, which many considered as necessary to give an impetus to the team in the remaining nine rounds of the season, while they are only three points above the relegation line.

The string of negative results which affected Fayoum since January was eventually fatal for the technical command headed by manager Ahmed Bakri, who resigned. The scandal after the away match at the Eastern Company, the home defeat to M.S. Samasta and the latest defeat away at near-bottom classified Asyut Cement were the main events which triggered this decision.

However, it took more than a week for Fayoum SC to announce the new technical team, which is headed by manager Saad Farouk. Saad Farouk has experience in the Egyptian Second Division, as he was manager of Dikernis and Ceramica Cleopatra.

Saad Farouk will be helped by Mamdouh Mostafa (who remained team manager), Mahmoud Moaz - general coach, Alaa Fathy - coach, Abdo Shaaban - goalkeepers' coach, Karim Fathy - assistant coach, Khaled Mahmoud (who remained administrative manager), Mohamed Youssef Bibio - administrator, and Hazem Abdulnabi - physiotherapist.

Due to Ramadan, there is about one month break until the next official league game, at home against Tahta. Therefore, Saad Farouk has enough time to get to know the players and the potential of the team. Three friendly games have been already scheduled, against top tier Ceramica Cleopatra, ENPPI and National Bank of Egypt.
