Saturday, 3 April 2021, 3.30 pm local time (1.30 pm UTC), Alassiouty Sport Resort Stadium, Fayoum, Egypt, the 20th round of the Egyptian Second Division, Group A.
The match between Fayoum and Al Minya should have kicked off at 3.30 pm local time but the ambulance was not there, and referee Wael Farhan and the observer decided not to start the game without the ambulance, as legally requested. The match officials and the players of the two teams waited for 20 minutes before the match was called off. The ambulance finally arrived 35 minutes late, but the officials decided that it was too late; El Minya players were anyway out of the pitch at that time. All the events were broadcasted by the Alassiouty Sport Resort Facebook page, which was supposed to broadcast the match. Fayoum officials stated that they made all the prerequisites to have an ambulance at the stadium before the kick off and during the match, and they claimed to have all the documents proving it.
It is now up to the Competition Board of the Egyptian FA to make a call: either to reschedule the match, or to award a 3-0 win to El Minya. The latter seems more probable.
