Media - Fayoum 0-0
Saturday, 6 November 2021, 2:30 pm local time (12:30 pm UTC), Media Stadium, 6th of October (Giza), Egypt, 6th round of the Egyptian Second Division, Group A.
Media (in red) and Fayoum (in green) fought hard to get a win, but they had to be content with a draw.
A match without goals is usually a boring one, but this was not the case. The two teams struggled hard but their efforts were not converted into goals. Most of the game was played in midfield, with Media in a more offensive mood, but Fayoum had very strong replies on the counterattack.
Media had more goal chances, but the visitors had the biggest goal-scoring opportunities. Tension increased towards the end, when the two teams tried to push for a win. Media had a few chances, but Fayoum's Salah Rifaat had a wonderful individual action, passing the entire opposite defense, only to shoot above the crossbar (71'). However, the most clear chances belonged to Mahmoud "Gresha", for Fayoum, in the final minutes: the first time his shot was blocked by the goalkeeper (85'), while the second time the ball hit the near post (88').
Fayoum: Islam Emad Risha - Ali Abo Elela, Ahmed Saber Mansheya, Hamad Hassan Al Hanbali, Mohamad Adel - Mahmoud "Gresha", Sayed Kanaria, Ahmed Saleh, Mostafa Sal - Salah Rifaat - Abdel Moati Mohamed. Manager: Ramadan Ragab.
The match was broadcasted by Nile Sport TV.
Both teams remain in the lower part of the table. In the next round, Media will play away at Aluminium, while Fayoum will face Sohag at home.
