1. FK Svidník - FK Sobrance-Sobranecko 1-1 (0-1)
D. Čabala 73' - Lukčo 25'.
Sunday, 6 March 2022, 2 pm local time (1 pm UTC), Mestský futbalový štadión, Svidník, Slovakia, 12th round of the Slovak Third League - East (3. Liga - Východ).
1. FK Svidník should have played their first match of the three postponed games from the first half of the season a week ago, on 27 February 2022. However, their opponents, OFK-SIM Raslavice, did not show up for the match, because a number of players were tested positive for COVID-19. However, the regional football authorities in Eastern Slovakia did not accept this reason, as there were enough healthy players to have a starting XI in the field, and awarded a 3-0 win for 1. FK Svidník. So, these were the first points collected by 1. FK Svidník this season.
The match against FK Sobrance-Sobranecko was played on Sunday, and the Svidník players succeeded to get their first point in the field, although they were quite close to another defeat.
In the first half, the ball was mainly disputed in the middle, with few chances for both sides. The visitors succeeded to get beyond the Svidník defenders several times, but goalkeeper Milan Vinclér came out and saved the situation. A set piece was at the origin of both goals. A corner kick from the right side was well executed, and Lukčo headed the ball in from the center of the box: 0-1 (25').
The hosts tried to come back in the game, and they had a couple of free kicks from just outside the box, but they were poorly managed and nothing came out of them.
The second half began with a fast break by Štefan Horňak, who succeeded to overtake Gajdoš (who played in the unusual position of centre back), and was intercepted by goalkeeper Vinclér just outside the box. Vinclér was sent off for the foul and 1. FK Svidník remained in ten, with Oravec as goalkeeper.
Nevertheless, as it sometimes happens, 1. FK Svidník played better in ten than they did in eleven, while the visitors probably relaxed, because they seemed to be in full control of the game.
The hosts fought vigorously, and eventually managed to level the score, after another set piece. A free kick from the right side was executed by Ivanecký, and Daniel Čabala headed the ball in from close range: 1-1 (73').
