Ahmed Atwi has been (re)confirmed as manager of Bourj FC, a clear sign that the financial crisis has been surpassed and things are on the right track for the Lebanese team. The club management succeeded to attract the support of the local administration, the mayor of Bourj el-Barajneh, the politicians representing this area, as well as a number of business people who agreed to invest in the club, to allow it to perform once again in the Lebanese Premier League.

However, there was a certain delay in starting the preparations for the new season, and due to the uncertainty, a number of players left. Some important ones have nevertheless stayed, and two of the best foreign players, defender Abdulai Ibrahim and midfielder Abdoulaye Fall, have been contracted for yet another year, which is excellent news. Forward Ahmad Hijazi has confirmed that he will stay, as well as other players, and many other new players are coming in. The training sessions have started this week, a bit later than in the case of other teams, but better late than never!
Manager Ahmed Atwi will have a lot of work to do, but his performance at Bourj FC in the last two seasons stands proof that he is a skilled manager, able to bring the team to the right level before the new season starts officially on 19 September 2025.
