The match involving Fayoum and El Minya was eventually rescheduled and ended 0-0

Wednesday, 7 April 2021, 3.30 pm local time (1.30 pm UTC), Alassiouty Sport Resort, Fayoum, Egypt, the 20th round of the Egyptian Second Division, Group A.

The match between Fayoum and El Minya was initially due to be played on Saturday, 3 April 2021, but the ambulance arrived late and the match officials decided to cancel the game. Fayoum SC brought all the necessary documents to prove that it was not their fault that the ambulance was late, and therefore the Competition Board of the Egyptian FA decided to reschedule the match for Wednesday, 7 April 2021.

This decision was much to the dislike of El Minya, which expected a favourable 3-0 win decision for the lack of an ambulance, which is always attributable to the organizers. El Minya SC issued a statement regarding their point of view on this matter, and they also appealed the decision of the Competition Board. Nevertheless, they also showed up at Alassiouty Sport Resort to play the match, given that their appeal might only be discussed after the game.

The match was highly disputed, as both teams were in need for points. Fayoum are struggling to get as far as possible from the relegation area, while El Minya are trying to cut the gap between them and the leaders Eastern Company.

In the first half, Fayoum SC attacked more and had the upper hand. In the second half, the visitors balanced the game and gradually took over the control. Both teams had several good chances of scoring, but the defenses were very strong. Fayoum's goalkeeper, Mostafa Gaber "Dida", made a couple of saves which kept a clean sheet for their team.

The match was broadcasted on TV by Nile Sports.

Due to this result, the Eastern Company increased their lead to 7 points. At the other hand, Fayoum are 5 points above the relegation line. In the next round, El Minya will face Media at home, while Fayoum will play away at Asyut Cement.
