Sunday, the 11th of October 2020, 4 pm local time (1 pm UTC), Rafic Hariri Saida International Stadium, Sidon, Lebanon, the 2nd round of the Lebanese Premier League.
The much expected derby of the Dahieh between Shabab Sahel and Bourj FC did not provide much entertainment and the lack of supporters in the stands was perhaps one of the causes. Another reason was the visible bad quality of the field, which added to the lack of offensive solutions of the two teams, which were happy enough to block each other but were not able to do anything more, especially in the first half, when there really were no goal opportunities.

In the second half, there was more action. A cross by Al Mel was headed well by Khodor Hallak, but Ali Daher saved (51'). Bourj seemed to try harder to score, but Shabab Sahel succeeded the goal by Haider Awada, who headed the ball in, but the goal was mistakenly cancelled for offside (65'). In the last 20 minutes, Bourj FC had again the upper hand and forced more and more, had some chances, missed however by Mohamad Jaafar or Hamza Abboud, or saved by Ali Daher, the man of the match.
Shabab Sahel: Ali Daher - Ali Abboud, Zuhair Abdullah, Abbas Ali, Hussein Rizk (Mohamad Haydar 90'+3') - Mustafa Kassab, Youssef Barakat, Mohamad Hammadi - Hassan Hajj (Hussein Haidar 70'), Mohamad Hammoud, Haider Awada (Hussein Hammoud 90'+3').
Bourj FC: Abdel Karim Saleh - Hamza Aboud, Khodor Hallak, Ahmad Al Khatib, Walid Ismail - Hussein Ibrahim, Mohamad Kassem, Hassan Al Anan (Fadel Antar 59') - Abou Baker Al Mel (Mohamad Naser 69'), Mohamad Jaafar (Ibrahim Abou Hamdan 83'), Hussein Al-Outa. Head coach: Mohamad Dakka.
Referee: Hussein Abou Yahya.
Yellow cards: Zuhair Abdullah 45'+1' - Mohamad Kassem 23', Hussein Ibrahim 39'.
In the next round, Bourj FC will play away at Safa (in Bhamdoun) on Saturday, the 17th of October, while Shabab Sahel will also play away at Al Akhaa Al Ahly Aley, on the same day, at Al Ahed Stadium.
For Bourj FC, this is the first point in this season, after they lost 3-2 in the first round to defending champions Al Ahed. However, the play needs to improve, especially in the attack, and head coach Mohamad Dakka needs to find solutions to break the opponents' defence. Safa, the former team of Mohamad Dakka and some of the players, will be no easy opponent, as proved by their result so far: a 1-1 draw to Nejmeh in the first round and a 3-0 win away at AC Tripoli in the second round.
