It has been a very fruitful summer for Bourj FC, a club which underwent many changes in the quest for promotion to the Lebanese Premier League in the season to come.
The new president of the club, Adnan Yassine, has brought several new members in the club management, such as Mousa Mohamed Ali Al-Sibaei (team manager), Fadi Yassine, Ashraf Sibai, Nabil Najdi, Jaafar Hasan Rahal, Nader Nawaf Ammar and Jalal Neboh.
There is a new technical staff of the football team, led by the head coach Mohamad Dakka, former head coach of Premier League side Safa SC and assistant manager of the Lebanon national football team. Since July 2018, Fouad Hijazi has joined the technical staff as assistant coach.
Many new players have been transferred while others have left. Goalkeeper Mohamed Fattal has been transferred from Mabarrah. The defense has been strengthened with players from Premier League sides, such as Bilal Nasrallah (transferred from Bekaa Club Nabi Chit), Hisham Shimme (from Al Islah Al Bourj Al Shimaly) or Mustafa Al Khatib (from Safa), while former team captain Ali Wassef Mohamed, Abdul Sondos or Ali Reza are not part of the squad anymore.
In the midfield, Amir El Haf has been transferred from Safa and Hussein Ibrahim has been loaned from Al Ansar. The most important transfer is that of the Senegalese playmaker Babys Babacar, one of the two foreign players allowed by the Lebanese FA in the Second Division. Veteran player Nasrat Al Jamal has also joined the team. Important players have also left, such as Mohammad Ramal, Mori Keita or Daniel Hareb.
In the attack, the second foreign player that has arrived is Abdullah Kanoute, who will try to replace the previous season goalscorer Eto'o Forlan Fode. Another important forward who has joined the ranks of Bourj FC is Wassem Abdul Kadi, transferred from Tadamon Tyre.
