Bourj - La Sagesse 2-0 in the second round of the Lebanese Second Division

After a 0-0 draw in the first round away at Al-Ahly Nabatieh, Bourj FC achieved the first win this season in the second round of the Lebanese Second Division against Hikma / La Sagesse. The game was played on Saturday, 22 September 2018, at 3:30 pm local time (12:30 UTC), at Safa Stadium in Beirut. Bourj was technically the home side, although Safa Stadium is the home ground for both teams.

Bourj starting line-up: Abdul Karim Saleh - Mohamed Hammoud, Hisham Shahimi, Bilal Nasrallah, Ali Jawad - Hussein Ibrahim Al Saouk, Amir El Haf - Ali Fakih, Papys Babacar, Wassem Abdelhady - Abdullah Kanoute.

After a few minutes when La Sagesse seemed in control of the game, Bourj scored: Ali Jawad executed a free kick from the right side and Ali Fakih slightly touched the ball with the head, misleading the goalkeeper: 1-0 (min. 7). The same Ali Fakih succeeded the double in the second minute of stoppage time for the first half, from inside the box: 2-0 (min. 45+2).

In the second half, both teams could have scored but the result did not change. This success puts Bourj FC in the second position in the table.
