The matches in the last round of the Peruvian Clausura tournament were played this week-end, most of them on Sunday, 25 November. The results decided the Clausura champions, the final aggregate table and the last unknown details before the play-offs, which will decide the 2018 Peruvian champions.
Real Garcilaso played away at Ayacucho and managed a 1-1 draw. They took the lead in the 14th minute by Santillan but the home side equalized in the 27th minute by means of Ever Chavez. No goals were scored in the second half.
Real Garcilaso: Ortiz - Arismendi, Lojas, Kontogiannis, Cossio - Alvarez, Aucca (46 Archimbaud) - Vidales (70 Landauri), Ramua, Santillan - Rengifo (84 A. Perez). Head coach: Victor Reyes.
Given that Deportivo Municipal lost 2-0 away at Sport Huancayo, Real Garcilaso were able to maintain their fourth position in the aggregate table and therefore qualified for the first stage of the 2019 Copa Libertadores. This was the last official match for Real Garcilaso in 2018, as they did not succeed to qualify for the play-offs.
FBC Melgar were crowned as Clausura champions, because Alianza Lima lost 3-2 to Binacional. Anyway, both FBC Melgar and Alianza Lima are qualified to the play-off semifinals, which will be played in the next two weeks.
Deportivo Municipal, Sport Huancayo, Universidad Tecnica de Cajamarca and Binacional are qualified for the 2019 Copa Sudamericana. Binacional defended their eighth place in the aggregate table by winning 3-2 as mentioned.
