On Friday, the 8th of March 2019, Bourj FC played away at Tripoli the match against Egtmaaey in the 18th round of the Lebanese Second Division. The visitors controlled the game from the beginning until the end, winning 2-0.
The first goal was scored by Wassem Abdulhady in the 23rd minute, after a cross from the left-back Ali Jawad. The second goal was scored in the 54th minute, after a corner executed by the same Ali Jawad, the ball was hit by Wassem Abdulhady and was deflected by the defender Samir Al Aye into his own net.
Bourj FC remain leaders of the Lebanese Second Division with 43 points. Second classified Shabab El Bourj won on Saturday, 2-0 away at Shabab Al Arabi, and have 41 points. Third classified Ahly Sidon will play at home on Sunday against Nahda Barelias; they have 33 points before that game. Only the first two classified will promote to the Premier League.
Bourj FC need two wins in the remaining four matches to be mathematically promoted to the Premier League, regardless of the other matches.
