Sohag - Fayoum 1-0 in the sixth round of the Egyptian Second Division - Group A

Tuesday, the 26th of November 2019, 14:30 local time (12:30 UTC), Sohag Stadium, Sohag, Egypt, the 6th round of the Egyptian Second Division, Group A.
Last classified in the table before this round, Sohag SC needed desperately to win their first match this season, and they succeeded to do so, 1-0 over an equally desperate Fayoum SC, which have just changed the manager.
The only goal of the game was scored by Faraj Ahmed in the 65th minute of the game, after previous fruitless attacks of the home side. The visitors were unable to equalize, and they did not score a single goal since the first round.
It is a very unfortunate start for Mohammed Youssef as head coach for Fayoum SC, but a lot of patience is needed to create a competitive team. But time is running out and it is not sure that this year Fayoum SC will manage to save themselves from relegation, like they did last season.

The Peruvian Clausura finished, Real Garcilaso lost 1-0 to Universitario but qualified to the 2020 Copa Sudamericana

Sunday, the 24th of November 2019, 15:00 local time (20:00 UTC), Monumental Stadium, Lima, Peru, the 17th round (last) of the Peruvian Clausura (Liga 1).
The last round of the Peruvian Clausura was important in deciding almost everything: the winners of Clausura, and also the third team qualified for the play-offs; the teams qualified for the next year Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana; and the second relegated team, apart from Pirata FC, already relegated.
Real Garcilaso, looking for a presence in the next year Copa Sudamericana, played away at Universitario de Deportes, third classified in the Clausura, but still with chances for winning it. The home side started very well and scored very early, when Corzo finished in great style with a shot from inside the area, after a pass from Quintero: 1-0 (2'). Universitario had a few more chances, but then, gradually, the visitors took control of the game and had their opportunities, by means of Souza and Ramua.

In the second half, both teams struggled to score again, but they were denied by the two goalkeepers. The visitors' possibilities to equalize were diminished when Minzún Quina received a second yellow card and was consequently sent off (79'), exactly when the pressure of Real Garcilaso increased. Univeristario sought to double their advantage, especially by Quintero and Hohberg, but in the end they were content with the result.
However, this win proved not enough, as Alianza Lima eventually won 3-2 away at Unión Comercio (relegated as a consequence of this result) and were crowned Clausura champions. They are qualified for the play-off semifinals against Sporting Cristal, while Deportivo Binacional will play directly in the final against the semifinal winner. Universitario de Deportes will have to be content with the fourth place overall and a presence in Copa Libertadores.
Despite losing, Real Garcilaso qualified for the Copa Sudamericana, because only FBC Melgar won and overtook them in the table. Ayacucho drew 0-0 to Universidad de San Martín and will miss any continental competition next year.
Universitario: Carvallo - Corzo, Velarde, Ramos, N. Quina - Lavandeira (Barreto 58'), Alfageme, Guarderas - Quintero, Osorio, Hohberg. Head coach: A. Comizzo.
