Tuesday, the 19th of November 2019, 14:30 local time (12:30 UTC), Alassiouty Sports Resort, Fayoum, Egypt, the fifth round of the Egyptian Second Division, Group A.
Newly-promoted Shaban Qena succeeded a new win on Tuesday afternoon, away at Fayoum SC, at Alassiouty Sports Resort. The visitors had an excellent start of the season and are second in the table, while Fayoum SC registered the third consecutive loss at home, after the one against leaders National Bank in the third round and then against Petrojet in the Egypt Cup on Friday.
The home side started better but the visitors' first chance was converted into goal by Mahmoud Farag Ahmed after a series of errors in Fayoum defense: 0-1 (22'). Before the break, both teams could have scored, but missed the target or the goalkeepers saved the goals.
In the second half, Fayoum dominated the game, charged continuously, but to no avail. Head coach Mohamed Mohsen Abo Gresha made several changes and substitutes, the pressure intensified, but Shaban Qena defended well. In the final minutes, the visitors succeeded to double their advantage, after a quick counterattack, finalized by Ahmed Jablawi: 0-2 (85').
At the end of the game, Mohamed Mohsen Abo Gresha announced his resignation as head coach of Fayoum SC, without going too much into details about his reasons, although obviously the results so far are probably less than what has been expected. The executive board of Fayoum SC, headed by the president Ali Masoud, accepted his resignation and started looking for a new manager, given that Fayoum SC will play their next league match on Sunday.
The new manager of Fayoum SC is Mohamed Youssef, former head coach of Dayrout and Beni Suef SC. His best performance was last season with Beni Suef, when they finished second in the Second Division, Group A.

He has already chosen the coaching staff and started training, as Fayoum SC will have a difficult game away at Sohag, last classified, on Sunday afternoon.
