Tuesday, the 17th of December 2019, the draw for the first stage of the 2020 Copa Sudamericana took place at the CONMEBOL Convention Centre in Luque, Paraguay. The 44 teams participating in the first stage were placed in two pots, Pot A (South: teams from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay) and Pot B (North: teams from Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela).
Real Garcilaso (Peru) will play against Audax Italiano (Chile). Both teams finished on seventh place in their national leagues. The first leg will be played in Cusco in the first half of the month of February (4-6 February or 11-13 February), while the second leg will be played in Chile in the second half of February (18-20 or 25-27 February).
