The best of 2019

General overview

The five teams (so far) which we follow, Bourj FC, Fayoum SC, Real Garcilaso, 1. FK Svidník and OFK Tryavna, generally had a good year. The best results were obtained by Bourj FC, which succeeded to promote to the Lebanese Premier League after 16 years, by winning the Second Division, and they have also won the Challenge Cup in summer.

Real Garcilaso had a difficult year, with ups and downs, but they finally managed to classify seventh in the Peruvian First Division and took the last available spot for the next year Copa Sudamericana. They are now in the middle of the process of changing their name into Cusco FC.

1. FK Svidník had a rather weak spring season, when they went down in the classification of the Slovak Third Division, but they stayed away from relegation issues. In summer and autumn, things improved significantly and they are now in a mid-table position.

Fayoum SC and OFK Tryavna both had problems and were very close to relegation at the end of the 2018-2019 season, but they somehow managed to avoid it, in the last round. The new season looks pretty much the same as the previous one, as both teams are involved in the fight to avoid relegation once again.
