The second half of the league started the same way as the first half for Fayoum and Aluminium, with a draw between them. This time no goals were scored, despite the numerous efforts made especially by the home side to break the deadlock.
Aluminium defended well and maintained the goalless result until the end. Fayoum were unable to take advantage by the management issues occurred at Aluminium, as their manager Hussein Abdul Latif had been sacked just a few days ago, and replaced by Saeed Ibrahim as an interim manager, possibly just for this game.
In the second half, Ahmed Bakri strengthened the attack, by introducing Ahmed Abdel Baqi and Ala Al-Din Metwally, but the result did not change.
Fayoum starting XI: Mostafa Gaber ”Dida” - Mahmoud Kamal ”Schmeichel”, Hamad Al Hanbali, Gaber Gaber, Ahmed Abd Elhakim - Adham Hassan, Karim Al Shafei, Hussein Khaled, Mostafa Islam ”Carlos” - Ahmed Saleh, Anas Mohammad ”Shendy”. Manager: Ahmed Bakri.
The two teams remain in the upper half of the table, but far away from the leaders Eastern Company. In the next round, Fayoum will travel exactly to Cairo to face the Eastern Company, while Aluminium will play at home against the other Cairo-based team, Media.
In the lower part of the table, one should notice the first win for Asyut Cement this season, and that many games ended up in draws. It is also remarkable that the top two teams lost this round.
