Bourj FC started the play-out with a 3-0 win over last classified Salam Zgharta, but the result was only decided in the final 10 minutes of the match.
The match was perhaps more important for Salam Zgharta, because this was one of their last chances to get some points and to try to avoid relegation. Bourj FC missed their objective, a classification in the top six, and are too far from the relegation spots to have any worries.
In the first half the game was quite balanced. Salam Zgharta had several good opportunities, including several free kicks from just outside the box, but were unable to materialize any chance. Hussein Al Outa had a big scoring opportunity for Bourj after a perfect cross from Hamza Abboud, but his shot was saved by the goalkeeper (20'). In the first half stoppage time, a header by Fadel Antar went close (45'+1').
The second half began much like the first, but slowly Bourj FC pushed more and more, while Salam Zgharta gradually gave up any sort of offensive and focused more on the defense. Fadel Antar missed the target again (64'). The game was very fragmented, due to some tough tackles and injuries. Eventually Bourj FC succeeded to score, even if quite late: Ibrahim Abou Hamdan gained the ball, passed to Mohamad Nasser on the left, and his cross found Zein Al Albidin Farran right in front of the goal: 1-0 (82'). The same Mohamad Nasser had an individual action on the left, entered the box, where he was fouled by Haidar Alawi (88'). The penalty was transformed by Mohamad Kassem: 2-0 (90'). In stoppage time, another action by Mohamad Nasser on the left ended with a powerful shot to the far corner: 3-0 (90'+4').
