After a surprising defeat in the first round, Fayoum SC succeeded to get the first points this season after a difficult match against Dayrout. The game was hardly fought by both sides. Fayoum had the upper hand in most of the time, but the visitors defended very well and resisted almost until the end.

However, in the end Fayoum were able to score the only goal of the match by means of Abdel Moati Mohamed: 1-0 (79'). The visitors then launched a total offensive, looking for an equalizer, which never came.
