FK Pokrok SEZ Krompachy - 1. FK Svidník 0-3 (0-2)
Tatar 8', Sova 18', 74'.
Wednesday, 13 April 2022, 3:30 pm local time (1:30 pm UTC), Futbalový štadion, Krompachy, Slovakia, 13th round of the Slovak Third League - East (3. Liga - Východ), postponed match.
The last match of the first half of the season was eventually played on 13 April 2022, and opposed the bottom classified teams. Only three days ago, Krompachy succeeded to finish 0-0 against Tesla Stropkov at home, while 1. FK Svidník suffered another disappointing home defeat, 2-0 to Mladost Kalša. For the Svidník side, this match at Krompachy represented one of their last chances to get some fresh air and avoid the last place in the table, which would lead straight to the Fifth League in the next season.
Indeed, the visitors played very well and controlled the game from start to finish, much to the surprise of the home side, which looked quite astonished and unable to react throughout the match. 1. FK Svidník started very courageously, and scored early: David Ivanecký executed a free kick from midfield, and found centre back Filip Tatar in the box, whose shot went in: 0-1 (8'). The offensive charges of the visitors continued, and a filtering pass from David Ivanecký left Jozef Sova on one on one with the goalkeeper, and he doubled the advantage for Svidník: 0-2 (18').
Only when they were 2-0 down, the Krompachy players seem to wake up a little, and the game became more balanced. Most of the actions were played in midfield, with very few dangerous attacks from either side before the break.

In the second half, the number of goal opportunities increased for both sides. Dobryn, the Krompachy goalkeeper, saved a shot by Sova (51'), then the home side had their first chances in the match, but their shots went wide or above the crossbar (55' and 61'). Their biggest opportunity came a few minutes later, when Filip Tatar dispossessed Marek Mihalik in a goal-scoring position.
The third Svidník goal sealed the fate of the match. A great run by Matej Makara on the left side finished with a perfect cross in the box, and Jozef Sova only had to tap the ball in: 0-3 (74'). The same Sova could have scored a hat-trick, but his shot went slightly wide (81'), and in the final minutes the visitors were at ease in front of a demoralized home side. However, Krompachy still had some chances, but they did not materialize.
