Finally, Fayoum SC succeeded their first win this season, a difficult one against Shaban Qena, a team that was undefeated before this game. Under a lot of pressure to get the three points, Fayoum dominated the first half and took the lead by means of Adham Hassan, who finalized with a beautiful header: 1-0.
However, Shaban Qena, managed by Kamal Al-Zein, started very well the second half and got a quick equalizer by means of Shehab Shafiq: 1-1. Fayoum players reacted well, took over again the control of the game and eventually the substitute Anas Muhammad Shendy scored the winning goal: 2-1 (78').
