The fifth consecutive defeat for 1. FK Svidník came in this seventh round, away at Bardejovská Nová Ves. The last classified (1. FK Svidník) lost to the second-to-last classified (Milénium Bardejovská Nová Ves) in a derby of the weakest teams in the group. The home team succeeded to score in the middle of the first half, by means of Marko Lukáč: 1-0 (24'). The same player could have extended the lead, but missed a penalty in 35'. 1. FK Svidník remain on the last position in the table and there are not too many chances to get out of there soon. Their next match will be away to Tatran Prešov, one of the strongest teams in the group, on Saturday, the 12th of September. Their next real chance to grab some points will be in the ninth round, at home against Pokrok SEZ Krompachy, on Sunday, the 20th of September. Until then, one should remember that every game played by 1. FK Svidník is one more step for the survival of the team, which goes through a lot of trouble these days.
