1. FK Svidnik started the new season better than expected, as they are undefeated after two difficult away games as Spisska Nova Ves and Snina. The 2-1 win at Snina in the previous round was particularly impressive and made them big favorites for the match against FK Drusztevnik Plavnica, which in the same round were unable to win at home against Milenium Bardejovska Nova Ves, one of the weakest teams in the group, drawing 2-2.
This was the first game at home for 1. FK Svidnik, as the match in the second round against MFK Tesla Stropkov was postponed. Therefore, it was expected that the Svidnik team, including many new players and new staff, would do their best to confirm their good start in front of their own crowd.
Nevertheless, as it happens in such situations, the visitors responded well and were not far from even winning the match. The first half finished goalless, although Plavnica had a great opportunity in the 39th minute. The home side played unconvincingly and the visitors controlled most of the game in the first half.

However, the visitors had a big chance, the ball was cleared but got to Miroslav Hanuscak, who scored for Plavnica with a long range shot which took the goalkeeper by surprise: 0-1 (62'). In the very next minute, Plavnica could have increased their lead but the same Miroslav Hanuscak missed a penalty (63'). The visitors had another great opportunity in the 82' but Kristian Tinath missed the target. A goal from any of these chances would have probably brought three points to Plavnica.

The hosts also had an opportunity (90'+1'), so finally the result largely reflects the reality on the field, as the two teams shared periods of domination. However, the visitors had the biggest goal opportunities and may feel disappointed. Among the other matches of the fourth round, one should note the first defeat of FK Humenne, 1-0 away at MFK Vranov, and the 10-1 win of 1. FC Tatran Presov in their first match at home. Now there are five teams with 9 points in the upper part of the table, each having three wins and one defeat. The only undefeated team remains 1. FK Svidnik! However, they have only three matches played so far, as their home game against Tesla Stropkov was postponed. Despite being undefeated, 1. FK Svidnik is only 10th in the table, with only one win and two draws.
